So, I was very pleased when one of our class moms donated a Texas frame, thanks Libby!
This is the frame in its original state. 
This look is what you get when our paint dries... Very chalk! Love the beautiful texture you can achieve with our paint! 
Went over each signature with the white marker, their little hands didn't apply enough pressure with the marker. 
What do think?
The frame was perfect, new and very cute the way it was, but in order to make it special I needed to make some changes, nothing fancy, a little paint here and there did the trick.
Let's change things a bit.
1. With a sponge brush I did paint the background with General Finishes Java Stain Gel, it went on very easy, one coat is all it took.
2. I had an old set of Parisian/travel stamps, I stamped the whole Texas State raised raw wooden form.
3. Print in cardboard paper your message, in this case Mrs. Katz. Then cut your letters. In times like this I wish I had a cri cut!!
4. With double side tape, tape your letters to the flat surface, where your want your message, it could be a canvas or in this case our frame.
5. After debating regarding color selection, I remembered Mrs. Katz told me her home decor and furniture was mostly black... Bingo! Midnight it is.
I used our new zero VOC's Natural Chalk Artisan Paint in "Midnight" one coat was all it took! Go over your letters carefully, it doesn't need to be perfect, little details here and there adds character!!
6. I took the frame to school, kindly Mrs. Lopez helped me get all our kids to sign their names in the back with a sharpie oil paint marker in white. All our kids did an awesome job!
7. My last step, I sealed this project with General Finishes High Performance. One coat.
