Love Seat Renovation - Deep Cleaning!

I was thinking to donate our first living room set, we bought it new eleven years ago, right after our wedding. Can you imagine eleven years of crazy parties with friend and family, oh sweet memories!
Having my daughter two years ago really took a toll on them, they survive baby food, little dirty hands, colds, crayons just to name a few. I didn't clean them before, but I was really ashamed to donate them in such condition.  I used this recipe to deep clean my sofas. Use a sponge to apply and scrub and a towel to pad dry
4 cups of water
2 tbs baking soda
2 tbs dawn plus bleach
And I couldn't be happy with the results! they look close to "new"
Then I decided to make a new skirt for the love seat (it was really damaged) and made new pillows with drop cloth, I should have take a picture of the sofas before I cleaned them, sorry the before pic of them was the best I could find, but believe me they were really dirty!
After seeing the after ... we have decided to keep them! they really look like new!
Oh sweet memories... keep them coming!

Antique dinning table

Beautiful Antique Dinning Table-Solid Wood-Beautiful Detailing! Painted in Old White +Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (seriously the best specialty paint ever!) Top is stained Dark Walnut, hand painted and waxed, lightly distressed. I applied two coats of paint, the paint dries fast, then wax with clear wax first and if you do want to achieve the antique look use the dark wax immediately after the clear wax. Will post more photos!

Looks like New!!

Getting started, changing my Home

Hello and welcome to Oh Lola! Vintage Home. These are so far some of the pieces that I have painted, I'm mostly using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and I couldn't be happier with the results. I have a long way though...

Painting the kitchen cabinets. This cabinet door was painted with Old White ASCP, I will paint another "sample cabinet door" with the new Pure White ASCP as soon as my fabulous stockist at "Smitten" will have it available, I will keep you posted.

Baker's Rack will be converted into a paper and ribbon organizer for my crafts room. I will post more pictures as it's transformed into a finished piece.

Cock-a-doodle-doo!  I painted it white.  It was very old and the original paint had faded away.

Lazy Susan organizer for my craft's room.  So easy and affordable to make!

I bought this star at Kirkland's for 4 bucks!  It had the look of driftwood before I painted it.

I love how this table turned out!  In the future I will take photos for my "before and after" transformations so you can see my work progress to the finish product.

I will love to hear from you.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.
